Flicker, designed by Simone Bonanni, originates from a reflection on movement and visual vibration, developing from the design of the individual element. The project takes shape from the designer’s awareness that a graphic mark applied to a single tile can, through repetition, generate an overall dynamic effect capable of animating the surface and transforming it into a continuously evolving visual system.
Flicker is a mosaic composed of 20 × 20 mm square tiles, offered in three natural color variations and mounted on mesh. Each tile is characterized by a small rectangular incision in its thickness. During installation, this imprint is filled with the same grout used for the joints, thus completing the design. The grout therefore becomes the decorative element, while the tile defines its orientation and aesthetic value.
